I would like to know how to cast a spell of protection for all of my belonings. I imagine it would consist of an oil or something to cover tools etc and perhaps prayers, what about symbols?

And also i would like to but a saying around the frame of my bedroom and enterance doors of the house to ward off destructive forces, especialy of people with irrtitable attributes and destructive mind sets like really bad pessimists for eg.

Hi Lukis,
I make little putsi's (a gypsy version of a mojo bag) that are filled with herbs and crystals that I sell at the markets. One of the varieties I make is for protection. I make a small bag out of muslin, dye it blue and fill it with rue, broom tops, cinnamon sticks, lemongrass and a chunk of malachite. Each putsi is charged with its specific intent.
Some crystals that are great for protection are moonstone, turquoise, green aventurine, blue calcite and chrysocolla. As always a clear quartz can be programmed for any purpose if you dont have the stone that you need. Hope I helped a little, I would rather offer a shitty hand than none at all.

Hay Cass, The first one that you mentioned worked a bloody charm for me! Was having MAJOR dramas with mother in law, and did exactly what you mentioned (except I didnt bury it, I still have it wrapped in cloth). I tell you, the dramas stopped, and I didnt have to deal with her for a long time. I did this about 18 months ago now. I think you are supposed to re do it about every year. Also I think that if the jar gets broken, the spell is void (that is why I didnt bury mine, I wanted to be sure it was safe.).

I love making protection talismans... If you get three flowering spikes of mugwort, and tie a black ribbon around it and hang it above your door, this is great for protection. But use a colour that you feel is right. I used black because to me it is the colour of protection... but everyone is different.

I heard of another type of protection... i cant remember the exact details of it, but to keep unwanted people/energy out, mix together a few herbs that are really hot and spicy like chilli and herbs that are spikey like stinging nettle or something, you know, herbs that have that energy about them that you just dont want to go near them... they have protection through warding. And mix it up with salt and anything else that feels protective to you and put it along ur windowsills (on the outside if u have animals or children) and if you like along the outside of your property.

Rune wise, i have a big old Algiz rune at the top of all my door ways, this is the rune of protection through warding. Whenever i smudge the house, i draw the algiz over every window and doorway and chant the runes name three time. Works a treat... everyone who comes into my house says they feel so unbelievably safe and at peace in my house... and a few negative people i know from uni have come over for parties and have felt a little uncomfortable and left (one particular negative person decided she didnt even want to come into my house)

Blessed be
Pix

Hi Lukis,

Try drawing a 'Saturn Seal Protection' on your front door.

Hope that helps :-)

How good are your visualisation powers? A friend of mine sets up "traps" above the doors - usually through visualising buckets filled of "stuff" (ie usually slime, sometimes blood or offal depending on their mood) - that are aimed to tip out if "unwanted" people enter the room.

I personally prefer setting up some kind of "boundary" or doing the Rosy Cross and pushing the boundary out to encase your room. I have a SH version of the Rosy Cross I can send you if you are interested. Let me know.

Actually I disagreed with you, Bow - the concept of archangels has been around longer than Christianity. As for the rose being a Christian symbol .. possibly, but it is also a MYSTICAL symbol and in that, its power and association slips over numerous boundaries.

Gia - The Rosy Cross I was refering to, as Nettie pointed out, is a ritual Rosicrucian (isk) in origin being adapted by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn as well as other magickal orders. I NEVER said nor implied it was a "Craft" symbol. Whilst the origins of this ritual, like with many from the Golden Dawn, are Qabalistic based, the God (or power) names vibrated serve a purpose that goes beyond all Christian, modern Hebrew etc interpretation.

What you are doing are in fact tapping into an egregore (or collective consciousness so to speak) that dates back for thousands of years. Regardless of its origins etc, the purpose of the Rose Cross ritual is one of protection .. likewise the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram is also another extremely powerful ritual that is often underestimated/valued in our modern times.

Obviously those who are not CM inclined may reject such a ritual simply based on its alleged history/use etc - John Michael Greer did mention in one of his books about "Jesus allergy" when it comes to QBListic teachings. Lukis, I get the feeling from your postings that this is one such "allegery" that you don't suffer from, so if you would like know more etc, my offer still stands.

Wow, Bow, nothing like taking a difference in opinion, making it personal, and then jumping to all kinds of conclusions based, what, on your own personal grievances?

Whilst I have better things to do than to argue differing opinions etc in like of such insults, on your first reference as to my "ignorance", I stand by my opinion and suggest that you may wish to do some research yourself into ancient Sumerian, Babylonian, Persian, Egyptian and Greek writings where all manage of "divine helpers" are mentioned as the words "angel" or "archangel" are basically one culture's description of such.

As to your assumption that I am "christian orientated" - this is of great amusement coming from someone who actually doesn't know me and as such, how can they know what I have studied, why, for how long, how deep etc ... For if you did know me and my background, you would know why I have an interest in the QBL.

me neither i have never heard of anyone using a cross but i suppose it depends on the path you follow as to what you use

Actually, Gia - what I was referring to was the "RITUAL OF THE ROSY CROSS" . Refer to this link:

http://www.hermetics.org/Rose-Cross.html

This is just ONE interpretation of the ritual.

Obviously my error was assuming that some people (aside from Nettie) actually had some knowledge in CM - that is ceremonial magick.

Yes, I acknowledge that my shorting of the ritual name may have led those who do not know me to jump to conclusions. However, would it not be better for some individuals (and I am NOT referring to you BTW) to maybe ask for clarification first prior to jumping to conclusions? And even if people jump to conclusions, does that warrant throwing insults about? I personally think not, especially on this site that, and please correct me if I am wrong, was for sharing and learning.

For the few here who DO know of me, my background, and something of the version of traditional Wicca I have been trained in, yes ceremonial magick DOES actually play a part in it.

Gia, if you or anyone else would like clarification or more information about anything I write - all you need to do is ask.

Bealtaine Magickal Retreat

A selection of photos are in the process of being uploaded into the Temple's photo album of the retreat we held over the weekend, just prior to the commencement of the fire ban so we were able to have our bale fire.

Enjoy.

Some thing to think on

ALCIBIADES II
PERSONS OF THE DIALOGUE: Socrates and Alcibiades.

SOCRATES: Are you going, Alcibiades, to offer prayer to Zeus?

ALCIBIADES: Yes, Socrates, I am.

SOCRATES: you seem to be troubled and to cast your eyes on the ground, as though you were thinking about something.

ALCIBIADES: Of what do you suppose that I am thinking?

SOCRATES: Of the greatest of all things, as I believe. Tell me, do you not suppose that the Gods sometimes partly grant and partly reject the requests which we make… Continue

Orionid meteor shower

Just a note it will peck by about dawn the 21st Oct I think thats GMT ?? but its the next 2/3 nights what ever
These meteors began life as tiny specks of dust ejected by Comet 1P/Halley during its innumerable trips around the Sun. Over the eons, these particles spread out along the comet's orbit. Every October, we run into this stream of dust.
if you are any place to see its a good show

A bit of Poety

Child of the mighty dead,
Electra, lo, my way
To thee in the dawn hath sped,
And the cot on the mountain grey,
For the Watcher hath cried this day:
He of the ancient folk,
The walker of waste and hill,
Who drinketh the milk of the flock;
And he told of Hera's will;
For the morrow's morrow now
They cry her festival,
And before her throne shall bow
Our damsels all.
